Heavy Metal Remediation

HYDROCARBON REMEDIATION

Hydrocarbon contaminants are common in most brownfield developments, often the result of former works, in-ground tanks or similar. Planacre has developed a rapid treatment technology for a wide variety of chemical pollutants in soils. For ex-situ bio-remediation, our chemical Enzyme can reduce concentrations of hydrocarbon contaminants within weeks.

In-situ & Ex-situ Enzyme remediation has been successfully used globally. Our product is a protein generated from specially selected organic, ecological, and biological materials.

Both urban and rural ecosystems depend on the quality of the soil. The deterioration of soil brought on by exposure to heavy metal waste and subsequent land pollution, however, is one of the growing risks.

Due to the presence of items including lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic, excessive heavy metal deposition in soils is harmful to both people and other animals.

Heavy Metal Remediation

Unlike carbon-based (organic) compounds, heavy metals do not break down. The main exceptions are mercury and selenium, both of which are susceptible to microbial transformation and volatilization.

Although prevention is always the best course of action, the Planacre Group uses a variety of treatments both in situ (on-site) and ex-situ (removed and treated off-site), including high-temperature procedures, the use of solidifying chemicals, and washing processes.
